Wine has become one of New Zealand's defining experiences. From the subtropical vineyards of Northland to the cool-climate regions of Central Otago, each wine region reflects a different combination of landscape, climate and local character.
Experiences range from private tastings and vineyard lunches to time spent with winemakers and access to estates not typically open to the public. Sauvignon Blanc may have established New Zealand's reputation, but Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and a growing number of regional styles continue to demonstrate the diversity of the country's wine industry.
